Fresh Bites Orange is a compact sweet pepper for a sunny windowsill, counter, or patio pot. Its thick-walled snack peppers mature from green to bright orange and can be eaten fresh or cooked.
## Fruit and placement
[PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Vegetables-Herbs/plant_info.aspx?phid=191109990052770) identifies Fresh Bites Orange as a sweet, thick-walled snack pepper. Its peppers begin green and ripen orange, reaching about 2¼ inches long and 1¼ inches wide. The breeder lists a 12–14-inch height, 8–10-inch spread, summer bloom, and sunny exposure. This Kitchen Minis selection is intended for a bright indoor windowsill or counter and can also be grown on a patio.
## Growing conditions
Use a warm, sunny location and a drained container. PanAmerican Seed recommends keeping the plant on the dry side during production and supporting the stem as fruit weight increases. For household containers, [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/growing-peppers) advises full sun and warm weather. It notes that consistent soil moisture supports good fruit quality, while dry soil can weaken flowers and young fruit; check container moisture often and water thoroughly when needed. The breeder lists roughly 85–100 days from transplant to green fruit and 100–115 days to ripe fruit.
## Maintenance
Water thoroughly when the potting mix begins to dry and let excess drain away. Avoid leaving the container waterlogged. Pick orange fruits as they ripen for fresh snacks, salads, or cooking, and support a fruit-laden stem if it begins to lean.
