PeppiGrande Red is a sweet, corno-shaped Capsicum annuum pepper selected for crisp, thick-fleshed fruit with a rich, sweet flavor. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/utility/CultureSheetPDF.aspx?pagename=culture.aspx&txtphid=048300001027660&type=Veg) describes fruit that ripens from green to red and is often seedless when grown in isolation from non-seedless peppers. The vigorous plant reaches about 36–48 inches tall and 24–36 inches wide.
## Harvest and use
The breeder lists 60–65 days from transplant to green fruit and 80–85 days to full ripe fruit. The large fruit works well grilled or baked whole with a filling. Harvest green for earlier use or leave the fruit on the plant until red.
## Site and support
Grow in full sun in well-drained soil. Oregon State University Extension’s [pepper guide](https://extension.oregonstate.edu/catalog/ec-1227-grow-your-own-peppers) notes that peppers need warmth and enough season length to mature. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/utility/CultureSheetPDF.aspx?pagename=culture.aspx&txtphid=048300001027660&type=Veg) recommends in-ground planting and support with a stake or cage; give the large plant room to branch and carry its fruit.
## Maintenance
Transplant after frost danger has passed, water steadily while fruit develops, and support the stems before the crop becomes heavy. Isolation from other non-seedless peppers improves the chance of seedless fruit; nearby pollen can produce seeds without changing the fruit’s culinary use.
