Create design onlineAbout Sedona Sun Ornamental Pepper
Sedona Sun is an ornamental pepper with a mounded, spreading habit and fruit in lemon yellow and carrot orange. PanAmerican Seed lists plants about 9–12 inches tall and 14–16 inches wide for sunny landscapes and containers.
## Fruit and placement
The breeder promotes its multicolored fruit display for autumn sales and notes that the fruit is hot. Use Sedona Sun in a warm-season border or a larger patio pot; the [cultivar profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/045600001034635/ornamental-pepper-sedona-sun/) recommends 6- and 8-inch pots and gallon containers. Keep it where the changing fruit can be seen.
## Growing conditions
Provide full sun and a long, warm growing season. Peppers generally perform best in fertile, well-drained soil; [Utah State University Extension](https://extension.usu.edu/yardandgarden/research/peppers-in-the-garden) recommends regular watering and avoiding heavy, poorly drained soil.
## Maintenance
Water deeply when the root zone begins to dry, with more frequent checks for plants in pots. Plant outside after frost danger has passed. Allow room for the spreading canopy and remove damaged leaves as needed; its fruit display does not require deadheading.
