About 'Everoro' Sedge Grass

EverColor® ‘Everoro’ is a compact Japanese sedge with golden striped foliage and a clumping habit. Its arching yellow leaves, dark green margins, and small summer flowers bring color and texture to borders and containers. ## Foliage and flowers The breeder describes ‘Everoro’ as a mound-forming groundcover and container plant with deep golden stripes, about 0.40 m high and wide. The Royal Horticultural Society describes variegated yellow leaves with dark green margins and tiny brown flowers on short spikes in summer; it gives a broader eventual height and spread range of 0.1–0.5 m. ## Siting Grow this sedge in full sun or partial shade. The RHS lists chalk, clay, loam, or sandy soil and recommends moisture-retentive ground with good drainage. Use it as a low edging plant, in a mixed container, or in a small group where its striped leaves can be seen. In spring, comb or trim away dead leaves and flower stems. Divide the clump if it becomes crowded, and keep containers draining freely.
