Create design onlineAbout Pavilion™ Pink Caryopteris incana
Pavilion™ Pink is an upright Caryopteris incana selection that brings pink flowers to the late-season garden. Its compact footprint and fall flowering suit a sunny border, perennial planting, or large container.
## Cultivar and size
The [Danziger breeder profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/perennials_catalog/pavilion-pink/) reports upright growth, late-summer to early-fall bloom, mature height of 35–40 cm and width of 45–50 cm, and zones 5–9. The [JC Raulston Arboretum listing](https://jcra.ncsu.edu/horticulture/sales/members-only-preorder-plant-sale/index.php?year=2023) identifies Pavilion Pink as a Caryopteris incana with pink flowers, dark green foliage, and a compact 18-inch size in its listing.
## Siting
Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Caryopteris tolerates dry periods after establishment but dislikes waterlogged ground, as the [RHS growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/caryopteris/growing-guide) explains.
## Maintenance
Cut back the stems in spring as growth resumes. Keep the soil draining freely through winter to reduce root problems.
