Pavilion™ Blue Bluebeard

Pavilion™ Blue is a Caryopteris incana selection in Danziger’s Pavilion series, with light-blue flowers and an upright habit. Danziger lists it for zones 5–9 and reports late-summer to early-fall bloom. ## Garden Use Use this compact bluebeard in a sunny border or container for late-season color. [Wayside Gardens](https://www.waysidegardens.com/products/caryopteris-pavilion-blue-27875) identifies the exact selection as Pavilion Blue and describes a mounded plant visited by bees and butterflies. ## Seasonal Interest and Siting [Danziger](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/perennials_catalog/pavilion-blue/) reports late-summer to early-fall flowering; Wayside lists bloom from summer to early fall. Provide full sun or part shade and well-drained soil. ## Mature Size Danziger gives 35–40 cm height and 45–50 cm width. Wayside lists a mature 18 inches in both directions, supporting practical ranges of 14–18 inches high and 18–20 inches wide. ## Maintenance Keep the site well drained. For general Caryopteris pruning, the [RHS guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/caryopteris/growing-guide) recommends a hard spring cutback to encourage flowering; adjust timing to local frost conditions.
