Golden Umbrella Tree

Dramatic color from golden yellow new leaves in spring to cones of bright white flowers with yellow and purple markings in summer. In late summer, the broad heart shaped leaves are more a yellow green color and the large seed pods begin to develop. Tolerant of alkaline, clay or sandy soil. Drought tolerant when established. Pruning is not frequently needed but this tree can be considered 'messy' with large leaves and seed pods to clean up. Attracts hummingbirds and bees.
