Nirvana® XDR Cranberry Halo Catharanthus

Nirvana® XDR Cranberry Halo is a mounding annual vinca with red flowers. Syngenta identifies this selection as Catharanthus roseus product 70079695 and describes the Nirvana XDR series as heat-loving, medium-vigor plants suited to containers, mixed combinations, and landscapes. ## Growing profile The [Syngenta product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70079695) lists full sun, late-spring and summer flowering, a garden height of 14–18 inches, and a product-feature width of 12–16 inches. It identifies this selection's flower color as red. The series is described as the only vegetative vinca with proven XDR-level resistance to multiple strains of aerial Phytophthora, confirmed in collaboration with Clemson University. ## Placement Use it in sunny containers, patio pots, hanging baskets, mixed combinations, or warm-season landscape plantings. Its heat-loving growth and vivid flowers bring sustained summer color. ## Maintenance Grow in full sun and provide well-drained soil or potting mix. Water during establishment and monitor containers in hot weather so the root ball does not dry out completely. Do not leave the plant in standing water. Remove damaged growth as needed and replace after frost in climates where Catharanthus is grown as an annual.
