Create design onlineAbout Pacifica XP Mixture Vinca
Pacifica XP Mixture combines the breeder’s upright Pacifica XP annual vinca genetics in a mixed-color seed offering. PanAmerican Seed describes the series as mounded and upright, with a 10–14 inch height, 6–8 inch spread, and flowers from late spring through summer. ([PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/063705391003332/vinca-pacifica-xp-mixture/))
## Garden Use
Use the blend in sunny bedding, border, or container plantings when a coordinated mix is preferred to a single flower color. The breeder describes Pacifica XP plants as well-branched and floriferous, with a compact rounded shape that works in repeated groupings. ([PanAmerican Seed series information](https://www.panamseed.com/controls/MarketingPDF.aspx?blobid=579))
## Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun and freely draining soil after spring soil has warmed. Annual vinca handles summer heat well, but cold, saturated soil can damage plants. In warmer climates Catharanthus roseus can behave as a tender perennial; in colder regions it is grown as a warm-season annual. ## Maintenance
Modern hybrids generally do not require pinching or deadheading. Water near the soil surface when needed, allowing excess water to drain; avoid persistently wet conditions. Replace plants after frost where winters are cold.
