Pacifica XP Punch is a named selection in PanAmerican Seed’s upright Pacifica XP annual vinca series. The breeder lists a 10–14 inch height, 6–8 inch spread, late-spring-to-summer flowering, and a mounded, upright habit; Punch is also identified in the breeder’s materials with US Plant Variety Protection number 9400248. ## Garden Use
This compact, floriferous selection fits sunny borders, bedding plans, and containers. The Pacifica XP series is described as well-branched and uniform, with a rounded form that helps create a continuous display in summer. ## Growing Conditions
Choose full sun and soil with good drainage. Plant after spring soils warm; annual vinca copes with summer heat but not prolonged cold, wet conditions. In frost-free areas Catharanthus roseus may persist as a tender perennial, while colder gardens use it as a warm-season annual. ## Maintenance
Modern hybrids generally need no pinching or deadheading. Water at the root zone as needed and avoid waterlogged soil. Remove plants after frost in cold-winter regions.
