Create design onlineAbout Tattoo™ Orange Vinca
Tattoo™ Orange is a compact, upright vinca with medium-orange flowers and a dark center. Its mounded plants reach about 10–14 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide, making them useful in sunny containers, borders, and massed summer beds.
## Flowers and form
The [PanAmerican Seed profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/063707916003789/vinca-tattoo-orange/) identifies Orange as *Catharanthus roseus* product PAS1517061. It describes a consistent dark flower center, notes that petals may lighten in high light and heat, and lists a mounded, upright habit with late-spring-through-summer bloom. The stated mature size is 10–14 inches high by 6–8 inches wide. Like the other Tattoo selections, it produces abundant flowers and a uniform, well-branched plant.
## Siting
Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil; light afternoon shade is useful in very bright, hot sites. [North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/catharanthus-roseus/common-name/annual-vinca/) recommends full sun to partial shade for annual vinca and notes that it flowers through heat. The [University of Florida IFAS guide](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/fp112) advises good drainage and avoiding excessive irrigation.
## Maintenance
Plant after frost risk has passed where winters are cold. Keep newly planted seedlings evenly supplied with water as roots develop, then reduce watering and avoid persistently wet soil. These compact modern hybrids usually need no pinching or deadheading. Remove damaged growth if needed and treat the plants as warm-season annuals in frost-prone gardens.
