Valiant™ Apricot Vinca

Valiant™ Apricot is an upright F1 vinca with large apricot flowers, listed by PanAmerican Seed under the exact product code PAS1192826. The breeder gives a mature range of 14–20 inches tall by 10–12 inches wide and lists bloom from spring through autumn ([cultivar profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/063707164000290/vinca-valiant-apricot/)). ## Form and use Its upright growth and large flowers suit sunny borders, mass plantings, and containers. The Valiant series is bred for landscape performance, with well-branched plants and low-maintenance longevity. Its apricot color provides a warm accent among green foliage or beside deeper-colored annuals. ## Site and water Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. [University of Florida IFAS](https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP112) notes that periwinkle adapts to a range of soils when drainage is good and that overwatering can cause root rot. In frost-prone climates, treat it as a warm-season annual. ## Maintenance Water during establishment, then reduce irrigation as the plant settles in. Keep water moving through the soil rather than letting the root zone remain saturated, especially during rainy weather.
