Valiant™ Burgundy Vinca

Valiant™ Burgundy is an upright F1 vinca with large burgundy flowers; PanAmerican Seed’s exact-selection page identifies product code PAS1053043. It is listed at 14–20 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide, with flowering from spring through autumn ([cultivar profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/063707164000893/vinca-valiant-burgundy/)). ## Form and use Use it to repeat a rich flower color through sunny borders or mass plantings, or place it in a container where its upright form can anchor the planting. The Valiant series produces well-branched plants and is described by the breeder as low maintenance with good landscape longevity. ## Site and water Provide full sun and well-drained soil. [University of Florida IFAS](https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP112) recommends good drainage for periwinkle and warns that over-irrigation can lead to root rot. It is usually grown as a warm-season annual in regions with frost. ## Maintenance Water regularly while new plants establish, then reduce irrigation once growth is underway. Avoid keeping the soil saturated, particularly during humid or rainy periods.
