Cat's Meow is a compact, mounded catmint selected for upright stems, blue flowers, and smoky-purple calyces. Proven Winners lists a mature height of 17–20 inches and spread of 24–36 inches, with summer-to-fall bloom, fragrant foliage and flowers, and strong pollinator appeal ([Proven Winners](https://c1.provenwinners.com/plants/nepeta/cats-meow-catmint-nepeta-faassenii); [U.S. plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP24472P2/en)).
## Placement
Plant it in sun along a border, in a container, or in a group where the rounded mound can soften a path edge. The breeder recommends average, well-drained soil with low to average moisture; avoid persistently wet ground. Its flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while the aromatic foliage adds sensory interest near a walkway.
## Seasonal Care
Blue-purple flowers continue through summer and fall, and established plants tolerate dry periods better than many perennials. The foliage stays green during growth, then dies back with winter dormancy. Leave enough room for the 2–3 foot spread rather than crowding it into a narrow strip.
## Maintenance
Shear the plant after an initial flush if you want to encourage rebloom and refresh its outline. Cat's Meow is rated easy to maintain, but removing tired stems can keep the mound neat. Deer and rabbits generally avoid it, though resistance is not a guarantee.
