Green Cascade Weeping Lebanon Cedar

‘Green Cascade’ is sold and specified as a weeping Lebanon cedar, with evergreen foliage and a cascading outline. The selection name is used in public planting schedules for Cedrus libani, although detailed cultivar-specific mature-size information is scarce. The cited municipal schedule confirms the exact botanical and common-name pairing, though its 4–8 ft figure describes nursery stock rather than mature size. ([Riverdale City planting schedule](https://www.utah.gov/pmn/files/1146226.pdf)) ## Growing conditions Cedars grow best in full sun and well-drained soil. Virginia Tech Extension describes Lebanon cedar as suitable for USDA Zones 5–7 and recommends average to dry moisture; these are species-level recommendations, not exact-selection trial data. ([Virginia Tech Extension](https://www.soiltest.vt.edu/content/pubs_ext_vt_edu/en/3010/3010-1467/3010-1467.html)) ## Establishment and care Water through establishment, then let the soil drain between irrigation. Preserve the natural branch shape with minimal pruning, removing only dead, damaged, or obstructive growth. Cedars can be difficult to transplant, so select a permanent location before planting.
