About Concertina™ Mixture Celosia

Concertina™ Mixture is a compact crested celosia sold as a mix of Concertina color forms. PanAmerican Seed describes it as an upright pot celosia for indoor use or a sunny patio and notes that the Pink and Red Dark Leaf components may grow somewhat more vigorously than the rest of the mix ([breeder profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/014508671003332/celosia-concertina-mixture/)). ## Size and use The breeder lists the mixture at 8–10 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide. Its small scale suits a pot, patio display, or the front of a seasonal planting. The mixture’s crested flowers provide the main display. ## Siting Provide sun to partial sun and a well-drained growing medium. PanAmerican Seed lists late spring and summer flowering. Celosia is a warm-season annual; University of Florida IFAS describes the cristata group’s flattened, crested flowerheads and recommends full sun for best growth ([IFAS guide](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP114?downloadOpen=true)). ## Maintenance Water regularly during active growth while allowing excess water to drain freely. Move outdoor pots outside after frost danger has passed, or use a bright indoor position. Remove spent flower heads if tidiness is desired; no special pruning is required.
