About Concertina™ Yellow Celosia

Concertina™ Yellow is a compact, upright crested celosia bred for indoor pots and sunny patios. PanAmerican Seed identifies PAS1284116, lists an 8–10 inch height and 6–8 inch width, and reports late spring and summer bloom; Yellow flowers slightly later than other series colors under long-day conditions. [See the breeder’s cultivar profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/014508671006060/celosia-concertina-yellow/). ## Siting and growth The breeder recommends this compact pot cristata for indoor containers or a sunny outdoor patio and lists partial sun to sun. In a garden, plant after frost danger has passed in a bright, well-drained spot. North Carolina Extension notes that celosia prefers full sun and dislikes wet soil or cold weather. [Read its celosia growing guidance](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/celosia/). ## Seasonal display Its dwarf size keeps the yellow crest close to eye level in a small pot or at the front of a warm-season arrangement. Its later flowering is a relative comparison within the series, not a fixed calendar date. ## Maintenance Water when the surface of the potting mix begins to dry, let excess drain away, and protect the plant from frost.
