About Chamaedorea geonomiformis

Chamaedorea geonomiformis is a small palm native from southern Mexico through Central America. Kew describes it as a shrub of the wet tropical biome and records “necklace chamaedorea” as an English common name. Its solitary slender stems and glossy leaves divided into two lobes give it a fine-textured appearance for a warm, sheltered tropical collection. It associates the species with wet lowland forest, so provide warmth and steady moisture while keeping the growing medium well drained. Adjust watering to the plant and its surroundings, and avoid leaving the root zone saturated. Keep it in a draining pot and remove damaged or dead leaves as needed.
