New York™ Dazzling Yellow Chrysanthemum

New York™ Dazzling Yellow is a Syngenta Flowers selection of *Chrysanthemum indicum* marketed as a Pot Mum. The breeder describes its flowers as yellow and gold, identifies mid-spring as its flowering time, and recommends it for small or medium pots. ## Seasonal Display Use this bright yellow selection as a flowering focal point in a patio container, entry planter, or coordinated spring display. Syngenta lists full sun exposure and a 9a–11a hardiness zone for this cultivar. The flowering-time label reflects the breeder's crop schedule; actual timing can vary with growing conditions. ## Growing Notes Choose a container with drainage and enough space for the root ball. Syngenta's Pot Mum Culture Guide describes commercial production and recommends allowing the growing media to dry between irrigations. Its pinching, fertilizer, and short-day instructions explain how growers finish pot mums on a schedule and are not necessary steps for maintaining a purchased flowering plant. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower heads to keep the pot tidy. Check moisture regularly because container media can dry quickly; water thoroughly when it begins to dry and let excess drain away. The source's USDA zone range is a production reference and should not be read as a guarantee of perennial garden performance in colder climates.
