Create design onlineAbout Autumn Sunset™ Chrysanthemum
Autumn Sunset™ is Syngenta Flowers’ garden mum selection 70072137, with red, bicolor anemone-form flowers. It is medium-vigorous, suited to full sun and medium-to-large pots, and naturally timed for early October sales; the breeder rates it USDA zones 9a–11a. Kew accepts *Chrysanthemum × morifolium* in family Asteraceae, while the product page uses the horticultural name *Chrysanthemum morifolium*.
## Garden use and growing conditions
Use Autumn Sunset™ as a featured late-season container plant or as a focal accent in a sunny autumn display. Its anemone-form flowers distinguish it from standard daisy and decorative mums. Syngenta says the flowering schedule can be adjusted earlier in commercial production with black cloth; this is a grower scheduling technique, not a normal landscape task. The plant’s mature dimensions are not published.
General garden-mum culture calls for full sun and fertile, organic-rich soil that stays evenly moist yet drains well. Iowa State Extension explains that chrysanthemums flower as nights lengthen, so landscape timing depends on region and seasonal conditions. Container-grown plants need regular moisture checks and free drainage.

## Maintenance
Water as the medium begins to dry and remove faded blooms for a clean display. Verify local winter survival before relying on this cultivar as a perennial; its listed hardiness range is 9a–11a.
