Create design onlineAbout Rhonda™ Bronze Chrysanthemum
Rhonda™ Bronze is a vigorous, fall-flowering garden mum with orange-bronze blooms. Syngenta lists Chrysanthemum morifolium, recommends full sun and medium or large pots, and notes that its flowers can outlast many late-season varieties ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70067036)).
## Garden use
Use this selection to bring warm seasonal color to a sunny border or a large patio container. The breeder describes Rhonda as a vigorous, late-flowering color family and cautions growers against planting it too early. No mature landscape dimensions are given for Rhonda™ Bronze, so site it with room for a vigorous plant without assigning an unsupported size.
## Siting and water
Provide full sun outdoors and check moisture regularly, especially in a container. Illinois Extension recommends watering potted mums when the top inch of soil feels dry and protecting them when frost is forecast. Shorter days cue chrysanthemums to flower; outdoor lights at night can interfere with that response ([Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/blogs/over-garden-fence/2024-10-17-mums-word)).
## Maintenance
Let the pot drain freely and keep the root area evenly moist during active growth. Syngenta says Rhonda flowers tolerate frost, but its product page lists hardiness as N/A; flower tolerance does not establish an outdoor USDA hardiness zone.
