Chantilly is the compact Boulevard Series clematis sold under the trade name Evipo021. Its large flowers open pale pink with a darker central bar and fade toward white; the [RHS profile for Chantilly](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/215569/clematis-chantilly-evipo021-boulevard-series-el/details) lists spring-to-early-summer and late-summer-to-early-autumn flower flushes.
## Flowers and placement
RHS describes a deciduous climber about 3–5 ft tall and 2–3 ft wide. Its compact habit suits a patio container, small trellis, or wall support. The flowers can be single or occasionally double and reach about 4–6 inches across.
## Growing conditions
Plant in full sun or partial shade with moist but free-draining soil. Keep the root area cool and shaded while letting stems grow into the light. Choose a container with sufficient depth and drainage for terrace or balcony planting.
## Maintenance
Chantilly is listed in clematis pruning group 2. Remove dead and damaged stems in early spring and trim the remaining growth to strong buds, following group 2 guidance to maintain its early flowering. Its old 2m point exceeded the RHS profile's 1–1.5m height range, so it has been cleared.
