Blooming lasts from June to September. Rich purple-red flowers are quite large, between 4 and 6 inches in diameter. Clematis prefer full sun on their leaves and shade over their roots. Prune this variety in late winter if needed. Climbing vine for pergolas, fences, trellises, walls and arbors. Mix with another color late blooming variety for an amazing look.
