Color Clouds™ Hottie Coleus

Color Clouds™ Hottie is a fast-growing coleus with lime-green young leaves marked by vivid magenta veins; mature leaves develop more magenta as the season progresses. Its spreading, mounding growth quickly fills a large basket or works as a warm-season groundcover. ## Foliage and size The [TERRA NOVA Nurseries profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/coleus-color-clouds-hottie/) describes lime-green young foliage with magenta veins, increasingly magenta mature leaves, and a spreading plant about 10 inches tall by 30 inches wide. The catalog’s current measurements match those sizes after metric rounding and are retained. ## Siting TERRA NOVA lists part shade to full shade and USDA zones 10–11. Grow in a container, basket, or seasonal groundcover planting in evenly moist, well-drained soil. It is a tender annual in colder climates and may be kept as a houseplant. ## Maintenance Pinch tips to encourage branching and manage spread. Water consistently during warm weather, allow excess water to drain, and protect from frost.
