FlameThrower™ 'Salsa Roja' PP31425 Coleus

FlameThrower™ Salsa Roja is a foliage coleus with burgundy-red leaves and an upright-mounded form. Its breeder positions it as a medium-vigor accent for small pots and mixed containers. ## Foliage and habit The [Ball FloraPlant product page](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=018006557039669) identifies Salsa Roja as UF15-97-9 and PP31,425, describes burgundy-red foliage, and lists 12–18 inches of height, 16–18 inches of spread, and shade or sun exposure. The product name, cultivar code, and patent number also match the [Ball Seed listing](https://info.ballseed.com/webtrackplantinfo.aspx?ENV=P&phid=018006557039669). Those exact identifiers establish that the catalog's “Salsa Rojo” wording refers to Ball's Salsa Roja selection; the displayed name, variety, and scientific-name label are corrected to match the breeder. ## Placement Use its colorful leaves as a foliage accent in containers or mixed plantings. [UF/IFAS](https://gardeningsolutions.ifas.ufl.edu/plants/ornamentals/coleus/) notes that coleus can also be used in landscape beds. ## Maintenance Choose the light level for the cultivar and keep it in well-drained, lightly moist soil. Check containers regularly because they can dry between waterings.
