About Florida Sun Jade Coleus

Florida Sun Jade is a foliage coleus with rounded, scalloped leaves that combine burgundy with lime-green accents and pink tones as they mature. Its upright, bushy growth adds strong color to containers and garden beds. ## Foliage and Form Cornell’s cooperative extension plant-sale guide lists a height of 20–24 inches and spread of 24–27 inches. In a one-season Massachusetts field trial, six plants averaged about 20 inches tall and wide; conditions and growing time account for some of the difference. The leaves are large and rounded, with burgundy stems and lime-green accents. Use well-drained soil with organic matter and keep it lightly moist. Coleus varieties differ in sun tolerance, so watch the leaves after planting and adjust exposure if they scorch.
