Stained Glassworks™ Copper is a coleus selection grown for textured coppery-bronze foliage. Its scalloped, crinkled leaves bring warm color to pots, patio planters, borders, and shade-garden displays. Published mature dimensions vary slightly: Cornell lists 14–22 inches tall by 12–18 inches wide, while the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum lists the same height and describes the plant for pots and borders.
## Form and placement
The [Cornell Cooperative Extension coleus list](https://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.cce.cornell.edu/attachments/55820/2022_Coleus_for_Plant_Sale_List_2.22.22_for_web.pdf?1647022451=) describes the selection as upright and spreading and recommends it for containers, borders, shade gardens, and window boxes. The [Minnesota Landscape Arboretum plant sale list](https://arb.umn.edu/sites/arb.umn.edu/files/2023-03/PlantSale%202023.pdf) calls it a sun-loving selection with coppery-orange, textured, scalloped foliage. Use part sun to part shade where the foliage can be appreciated up close.
## Growing conditions
Provide a bright position with protection from harsh afternoon sun where local conditions scorch foliage. Allow container soil to drain freely and water consistently as it dries.
## Maintenance
Pinch the stems to encourage a bushier outline, as recommended by Cornell. Trim as needed to keep the plant balanced in containers or along a border.
