Create design onlineAbout Coleus TERRA NOVA 'Marrakesh'
Marrakesh is a TERRA NOVA® coleus with unusually shaped leaves in a mix of amber, copper, lime, and dark crimson. It stays neat through the season and branches without pinching, making it a colorful choice for containers and shaded garden beds.
## Form and color
The [TERRA NOVA® cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/coleus-terra-nova-marrakesh/) lists Marrakesh at about 16 inches tall by 30 inches wide and USDA zones 10–11. The breeder describes an annual Coleus scutellarioides with mounding growth, self-branching habit, and foliage that combines amber, copper, lime, and dark crimson. Its original plant produced only one short flower spike in a year.
## Placement
Grow in part shade or full shade, in well-drained soil with moderate organic matter. The breeder lists average garden water and recommends it for containers, houseplants, summer borders, and mass plantings. Its multi-color leaves can stand alone or complement plants with simpler foliage.
## Maintenance
Pinching is unnecessary because the plant branches on its own. Water when the soil begins to dry, then allow excess to drain. Trim damaged or out-of-place stems as needed; occasional flower spikes can be removed when you want the foliage to remain the main feature.
