Wizard® 'Select Mix' Coleus

Wizard® Select Mix is a seed-grown coleus mixture selected for colorful foliage and a compact, upright habit. The named mix brings several Wizard colors together for bedding, baskets, planters, or indoor foliage programs. ## Mix and mature size The exact [Ball Seed Select Mixture profile](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=018001649002927) lists Coral Sunrise, Jade, Mosaic, Scarlet, Sunset, and Velvet Red in the mixture. It describes compact, mid-sized foliage plants about 12–14 inches high and 10–12 inches wide, with a mounded, upright habit. Shade and partial sun are listed as exposures; the profile also identifies heat tolerance and medium water needs. ## Growing conditions Coleus prefers well-drained soil, according to [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/coleus). Water needs rise with sun exposure and container growing, and coleus is cold-sensitive, so wait for warm conditions before planting outdoors. ## Maintenance Keep containers draining freely and water regularly as the mix dries. Pinch flower stalks if they form to maintain emphasis on foliage.
