Wizard® 'Sunset' Coleus

Wizard® Sunset is an upright, mounded coleus grown for warm-toned foliage. Ball Seed describes the selection’s leaves as bronze and gives a compact size suited to containers, baskets, planters, and landscape beds. ## Foliage and form The exact [Ball Seed profile](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=018001649005424) lists a mature height of 12–14 inches and width of 10–12 inches, with shade or partial-sun exposure. It identifies the plant as heat- and shade-tolerant, with medium water needs, and notes that Wizard Sunset can also grow in sunnier conditions. This is a foliage selection with a late-flowering habit, so it can provide color through the warm growing season. ## Growing conditions For coleus generally, [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/coleus) recommends well-drained soil and regular watering, with more frequent watering in full sun or containers. Coleus is cold-sensitive and is best planted outdoors after conditions warm. ## Maintenance Keep drainage clear and water as the mix begins to dry. Remove flower stalks when desired to keep the display focused on leaves.
