Coreopsis 'Citrine'

‘Citrine’ is a low, compact Coreopsis from TERRA NOVA®’s JEWEL™ Series. Its bright yellow daisy flowers continue from June into early fall, with fresh blooms quickly covering older flowers. This deciduous perennial is suited to sunny borders, edging, containers, and mass plantings. ## Form and flowers The [breeder profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/coreopsis-citrine/) lists a 5-inch plant height, 7-inch flowering height, and 20-inch spread, with flowering from June through September. It gives USDA Zones 7–10, a mounding habit, and well-drained soil with average garden water. The [plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP22478P2/en) identifies the cultivar ‘Citrine’ and describes clear yellow flowers and a compact, mounding plant. ## Siting and care Grow in full sun in average, well-drained soil. The low, spreading form works along a border edge or as a bright ground-level accent in a container or mixed bed. ## Maintenance TERRA NOVA describes ‘Citrine’ as easy to grow and low maintenance. Remove old foliage as it declines after flowering and tidy the plant in late winter before spring growth.
