Coreopsis SUNSTAR 'Gold'

SUNSTAR™ ‘Gold’ is a compact, mounding Coreopsis verticillata selection with golden-yellow flowers and dark red eyes, feathery green foliage, and a clean, manicured habit. [Terra Nova](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/coreopsis-sunstar-gold/) lists 12 inches tall by 18 inches wide, full sun, USDA zones 6–10, and bloom from June through September. Its [patent record](https://patents.justia.com/patents-by-us-classification/PLT/417) identifies the matching selection code TNCORSG and patent PP30997. The grower describes this selection as hardy with an unusually long bloom season and mildew-resistant foliage. Use the listed dimensions as a planning estimate, allowing extra space for mature growth and variation across sites. The plant’s fine texture and bright flowers suit sunny perennial borders and pollinator plantings. ## Maintenance Provide full sun and well-drained soil. Water during establishment and extended dry spells. Remove spent flower heads as desired; leave healthy foliage in place through the growing season.
