UpTick™ Gold & Bronze PP28882 Tickseed

UpTick™ Gold & Bronze is a compact tickseed selected for yellow flowers with dark bronze-red centers and a tidy mound of green foliage. Darwin Perennials lists a mature size of about 12–14 inches tall and wide, with continuous summer color, and identifies the selection as ‘Baluptgonz’ (PP28,882). [Darwin Perennials](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=018907658035401) and [Hoffie Nursery](https://hoffienursery.com/plant/Coreopsis-UPTICK-Gold-Bronze) give cultivar-specific growing details. ## Landscape Use Place it near the front of a sunny perennial border or in a compact mass where its warm flower centers can be seen up close. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers, and the manageable mound also suits mixed containers. ## Growing Conditions Choose a sunny site with soil that drains freely. The breeder rates this selection for USDA zones 5a–9b and medium water; water newly planted plants regularly while roots establish, then adjust to rainfall and heat. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers to keep the display neat and encourage continued bloom. Cut back old stems after flowering or in spring as new growth begins. Avoid persistently wet soil around the crown.
