About Creme Brulee Tickseed

Coreopsis verticillata ‘Crème Brûlée’ is a compact, bushy tickseed with finely divided foliage and yellow daisy-like flowers. The Royal Horticultural Society describes bloom from midsummer into mid-autumn and gives mature height and spread as 0.1–0.5 m; the cultivar patent independently identifies ‘Crème Brulée’ as a selection of C. verticillata. ## Garden Use Plant this small perennial in a sunny or partly shaded border, where its fine foliage and repeated yellow flowers can edge a path or fill the front of a bed. The RHS range converts to about 4–20 in. for both height and spread, so the existing 0.5 m numeric dimensions remain supported while the display labels are aligned to the complete source range. The RHS lists chalk, loam, and sandy soil types. ## Growing Conditions A well-sited plant receives sun for part of the day; partial shade is also listed by the RHS. The source gives no USDA hardiness zone, so the existing zone entry is retained without converting another rating or treating source silence as a correction. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers when a tidier display is wanted. Keep the plant in appropriately drained soil and water during establishment and extended dry periods.
