About Silky Dogwood

A multi-stemmed deciduous shrub native to Eastern North America, known for its open-rounded habit and reddish-purple twigs. It features medium green leaves with silky undersides and flat-topped clusters of creamy-white flowers that bloom in late spring. These flowers transition into striking blue drupes that attract various songbirds. Ideal for erosion control and wet sites, it thrives in moist, acidic soils and can form dense thickets if left to spread naturally.
