‘Rosea’ is a pink-flowering pampas grass selection with evergreen, arching foliage and large plume-like panicles in late summer. The Royal Horticultural Society lists Pink Pampas Grass ‘Rosea’ and notes related botanical synonyms; a current nursery listing identifies the selection as Cortaderia selloana ‘Rosea’. ## Form and seasonal interest
The foliage forms a densely tufted clump, with sharply toothed leaf margins. RHS describes a height range of 1.5–2.5 metres and spread of 1–1.5 metres, while Cowell’s gives a typical mature size of about 2 metres high and 1.5 metres wide. Pink plumes appear in late summer; the nursery lists flowering from August through October. The reported ranges allow room for differences in growing conditions and mature plant form.
## Siting
Grow in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. The tall flowering stems and evergreen leaves give the plant a bold architectural role in an open border or informal screen. Leave room around the clump and avoid placing it beside narrow walkways because leaf margins are sharp.
## Maintenance
Cut and comb out old flower stems and dead leaves in late winter or early spring, wearing gloves to protect against the sharp edges. RHS reports drought resistance and UK hardiness H6; that rating is not a USDA zone and has not been converted.
