Sonata™ Pink Cosmos

Sonata™ Pink is a compact annual cosmos with finely divided foliage and pale-pink, bowl-shaped flowers. PanAmerican Seed lists the Sonata selection at about 24 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, and the RHS notes summer-to-autumn flowering. [PanAmerican Seed’s product profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/019501382004054/cosmos-sonata-pink/) confirms PAS1787, the upright Sonata habit, size, full-sun exposure and supplier bloom timing. [The RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/376991/cosmos-pas1787/details) describes pale-pink bowl-shaped flowers in summer and autumn, with moist, well-drained soil and deadheading to extend flowering. ## Garden Use Its upright but compact shape works in sunny flower borders, patio pots and small groups, where the soft pink color combines easily with white and purple flowers. Stems can be cut for casual bouquets. ## Growing Conditions Choose full sun and moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil. PanAmerican Seed lists the Sonata series as compact, and the RHS recommends sunny, free-draining sites for this selection. ## Maintenance Water during dry spells while allowing excess moisture to drain. Remove spent flowers to prolong the display, as recommended by the RHS. Cut stems when flowers open for informal arrangements.
