Stunning foliage with an exceptionally bushy, strong, well branched growth habit. Unlike other Cotinus varieties, Dusky Maiden will not get leggy, staying more compact. Impressive purple-red in spring and summer turning to bright orange-red in fall. Oval leaves have unique wavy margins. Pink flower panicles appear in summer and look like puffs of smoke. Foliage color deepens with more sun.
