About Sea Kale

Crambe maritima, commonly known as sea kale, is a robust, mound-forming perennial prized for its architectural presence and culinary history. It features large, fleshy, glaucous leaves with wavy margins that create a stunning blue-green focal point in the garden. In early summer, the plant produces dense, honey-scented clusters of white flowers that attract pollinators. Thriving in well-drained, sandy soils and full sun, it is exceptionally salt-tolerant and ideal for coastal or gravel gardens.
