About Red-stemmed crassula

Crassula rubricaulis is a charming, much-branched perennial succulent shrublet native to South Africa. It forms a rounded clump characterized by its distinctive smooth, red-brown stems that root at the nodes upon contact with the ground. The thick, fleshy leaves feature attractive red margins and a subtle line of fine hairs. In summer, it produces dense clusters of star-shaped white flowers that often age to a soft red. Ideal for rock gardens or containers, it thrives in well-drained soil and bright sun.
