About Lavellee's Hawthorn

Discovered in the late 19th century in France. This hawthorn has a more upright habit than some of the others in the genus. Thorns are short and not as abundant as those on cockspur hawthorns. Sports 3" clusters of small white blooms in the spring which turn into red fruits in the summer. Leaves are glossy green and turn orange-red in the fall.
