Crocosmia NOVA 'Gold Dragon'

Crocosmia NOVA® ‘Gold Dragon’ is an upright selection with yellow flowers and green foliage. Terra Nova lists the plant at about 40 inches tall and wide, with summer bloom from June through August. Give it enough room to show its flowering stems without crowding neighboring plants, and use it in a sunny mixed border where its warm color can repeat through the season. ## Growing Conditions Choose full sun and average, well-drained soil that stays evenly moist. Terra Nova lists USDA zones 7–9 and describes the selection as deciduous and fast growing. Its upright foliage and golden summer flowers make it useful among other sun-loving perennials. ## Maintenance Water during establishment and in prolonged dry spells. Remove old flower stems after bloom if desired, but allow foliage to decline naturally before cutting it back. In regions colder than the stated hardiness range, use locally suitable winter protection for the corms.
