About Martini Cucumber

Martini F1 is a white-skinned slicing cucumber with tender, non-bitter fruit and a crisp, sweet flavor. Ball FloraPlant lists 5–6 inch fruits and maturity around 55–60 days from direct seeding; Territorial Seed describes its smooth white skin and recommends picking at 5–6 inches for best quality. ## Garden Use Grow Martini where its pale fruit is easy to spot among the leaves. Use it as a fresh slicer, picking fruit regularly while the skin is tender. The selection is a medium vine, so allow space for it to spread or provide a trellis. ## Growing Conditions Ball identifies the selection as monoecious, with separate male and female flowers on the same plant. Grow in full sun and moist, rich, well-drained soil. Direct sow after frost danger has passed and soil has warmed; water consistently during fruit development. ## Maintenance Check plants often once fruit begins to set, and harvest before the cucumbers become oversized. Avoid disturbing roots during transplanting, and keep foliage dry when watering where possible.
