Cubano™ Fuente Cuphea hyssopifolia

Cubano™ Fuente is a compact, freely branching Cuphea hyssopifolia selection with upright stems and glossy green foliage. Its bright-red, elongated flowers have dark throats and appear from late spring until frost. ## Flowers and placement ServeScape lists Fuente at about 9–12 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide, with 18-inch spacing. The modest size works at a border edge, in a rock garden, or in a container. The listing identifies the product as Cubano™ Fuente and gives red as its bloom color. ## Growing conditions Grow in full sun and well-drained soil. The exact product profile lists USDA zones 9–11 and describes the plant as a subtropical annual shrub. In cooler climates, treat it as a seasonal plant; in warm climates it can provide color through the growing season. ## Maintenance Keep containers draining freely and water when the root zone begins to dry. The product listing describes the selection as low maintenance and reports no serious pest or disease issues.
