Rainier™ Purple Cyclamen

Rainier™ Purple is Syngenta’s purple-flowered selection in its large-flowered Rainier cyclamen series. The exact product page identifies code 70049598 as Cyclamen persicum and describes its flowers in purple, lavender, and violet tones. ## Flowers and season The [Rainier Purple listing](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/product/flower/70049598) gives an upright habit, sun or shade exposure, and recommended container sizes of 14–20 cm. Syngenta’s Rainier catalogue schedules the series for a September–March display, while its technical sheet lists broad series dimensions of about 20–25 cm high and 15–25 cm wide. These are series-level production ranges; individual plants and growing conditions vary. ## Position and watering Use a bright, cool indoor or protected position and avoid hot, dry air. Grow in a free-draining container medium, water moderately while leaves and flowers are active, and let excess water drain away. The [RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/101163/cyclamen-persicum/details) recommends reducing water after flowering and keeping dormant tubers drier. ## Maintenance Pull faded flower stems carefully from the base and remove yellow leaves. Allow the plant its seasonal rest, then resume watering when new growth appears.
