Sierra™ Synchro Purple is the purple-flowered Cyclamen persicum selection identified by Syngenta as code 70073103; the breeder describes a mounded plant with 12–14 in. garden height and width ([Syngenta](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70073103)). Kew accepts Cyclamen persicum in Primulaceae, while North Carolina Extension provides practical care for florist cyclamen ([Kew](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:700765-1/general-information); [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/cyclamen-persicum/)).
## Flowering and Form
Syngenta lists early and mid spring, fall, and winter flowering, with a rounded, mounding habit and large flowers. A pot near a bright window or a cool, shaded outdoor area lets the flowers and patterned leaves remain at eye level. The product is listed as a raw-seed standard cyclamen for potted growing.
## Light and Soil
The breeder recommends full shade to part shade. Use bright indirect light, cool temperatures, and a rich, freely draining potting medium; florist cyclamen is frost tender, so move outdoor pots to shelter before freezing weather.
## Watering
Check the potting mix and water when it feels dry. Pour around the inside edge of the pot or at its base and keep water away from the crown to reduce rot risk. Reduce watering during summer dormancy, then return to regular moisture as new leaves emerge.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flowers and declining leaves cleanly. Give the tuber time to rest if foliage yellows and dies back in summer, and resume watering as growth returns.
