About Silverado™ Scarlet Imp. Cyclamen

The Silverado scarlet form is a red-flowered miniature Persian cyclamen with silver foliage. Syngenta associates code 70077470 with the Silverado F1 series and describes the plant as mounding, 6–10 inches in garden height and spread, and flowering in spring, fall, and winter; see the [product profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70077470) and [series brochure](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/428733/1). ## Display Use this seasonal red color in a small pot or grouped container display, keeping it where the foliage and flowers can be enjoyed at close range. Its miniature habit works well on a bright indoor table or sheltered entry display. ## Growing Florist cyclamen grows from a tuber and prefers cool conditions, bright filtered light, and well-drained potting medium. Water only when the medium feels dry, directing water along the edge of the pot so the crown stays dry. The species is frost tender; treat it as a seasonal potted plant in cold climates. [North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/cyclamen-persicum/) provides species-level care guidance. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stems to encourage continued flowering. Reduce watering while the tuber is dormant in summer, then resume as growth returns.
