About Dahlinova Tempt Pink Bicolor Dahlia

Dahlinova Tempt Pink Bicolor is a named Dahlia selection with pink, bicolored flowers. Its pink-and-contrasting-color display adds a distinct accent to a sunny bed and can also be used in cut-flower plantings. Dahlias grow from tuberous roots and are valued as cut flowers. Plant in full sun in organically rich, medium-moisture, well-drained soil, and keep moisture consistent during active growth; dry beds can reduce flower production. Remove spent flowers to encourage additional buds. Cultivar size and flower traits vary across dahlias, so allow spacing suited to the actual plant rather than applying one measurement to every variety. In regions with freezing winters, lift tubers after frost, cure and store them cool over winter, then replant in spring. See the [Illinois Extension Dahlia guide](https://extension.illinois.edu/blogs/hort-home-landscape/2015-09-03-plant-week-dahlias) for general culture of this genus. ## Maintenance Deadhead faded flowers and stake stems if they need support. Lift and store tubers after frost where winter freezes occur.
