Dalaya® Yellow Dahlia

Dalaya® Yellow is a yellow-flowered selection in Selecta’s Dalaya® dahlia series, known for medium vigor, green leaves, and an upright, well-branched habit. Ball Seed identifies the exact selection as KLEDH17008 and lists protection reference PP31,053. ## Garden use The breeder describes Dalaya dahlias as large-flowered garden plants for pots and landscapes. Its series-level guidance gives a height of 12–16 inches and spread of 12–14 inches; actual size varies with climate, planting date, and growing conditions. The Yellow product name identifies the color, while Selecta describes the series more broadly as having bold, often bicolored blooms. ## Growing conditions Choose a sunny position and fertile, humus-rich soil that is moist but well drained. The named selection is appropriate for a sunny border or a larger patio container. Ball Seed lists spring through autumn flowering for this product and describes medium water needs in production. ## Maintenance Water when the soil begins to dry during hot weather and deadhead faded flowers for continued flowering. In regions with freezing winters, cut back after frost and lift tubers for storage, or grow it as a seasonal container plant.
