Harlequin Mix Dahlia

Harlequin™ Mix is a seed-grown, compact dahlia with semi-double flowers in a range of solid and bicolor combinations. Syngenta and Harris Seeds both describe an upright plant around 12–14 inches tall; Harris lists approximately 10–12 inches of spread. ## Garden Use Place it near the front of a sunny border, in patio pots, or in grouped plantings where the varied flowers can be enjoyed close up. Individual colors vary among seedlings, so the mix will not create a uniform flower color. ## Growing Conditions Give plants full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Park Seed recommends moist but drained soil, while Syngenta’s grower guide advises allowing the growing medium to dry between irrigations. In a garden bed, water according to soil moisture rather than a fixed schedule. ## Maintenance Start seed indoors several weeks before the last expected frost or sow after frost risk has passed.
